Types of Cover
Here is a summary of some of the cover that is available in our restaurant and takeaway insurance policies:
- Stock Insurance: Provides cover for damage or theft of your stock. In the event of a claim you will receive the cost price of the stock to replace it.
- Contents Insurance: This will provide cover for any damages to the contents of your building. This includes fixtures & fittings being damaged in the event of a fire, flood, theft or vandalism.
- Insured’s Personal Effects: Covers any damages to personal contents at the premises. Includes the insured, resident manager and any family living there.
- Tenants Improvements Insurance: Will cover you if you rent or lease a property and have spent money improving or refurbishing the property. If you install improvements such as air conditioning, partitions or lighting, you need to insure your investment as they will not be included on the landlord’s building insurance. Therefore if the property burns to the ground, your landlord will only re-build the shell of the building and all your improvements will be lost.
- Employers Liability Insurance: Protects you against any injury claims filed against you from any of your past or present employees.
- Public Liability Insurance: Protects you in the event of a member of the public being injured or having their possessions damaged while on your premises.
- Personal Accident Assault: Covers injury to an insured person as a result of an assault in the course of their duties up to limits specified in the policy, any medical expenses to specified limits and up to £250 damage to clothing at any one time.
